Our Impact

New Image Youth Center provides a safe place for youth to dream while fostering academic, social, physical, and mental well-being for our students. We offer comprehensive after-school and summer camp programs for students in the Parramore area of Orlando and surrounding neighborhoods. We are proud to be one of the longest- serving youth organizations in Parramore, in operation for almost 20 years. The loving and supporting environment offered by NIYC has led to dozens of high school, post-secondary school and college graduates, and one PhD graduate.

What We Do

As our students mature beyond high school, NIYC continues to provide support as our many of our young men and women pursue post-secondary education and as they all seek employment opportunities into adulthood.

Academic Support

Homework help, tutoring, college prep, and summer reading programs, as well as job readiness and training.

Social Development

Building healthy communication skills, teamwork, and leadership abilities in our youth.

Health & Wellness

A daily meal program along with nutrition education and fun fitness activities such as team sports, dance and mixed martial arts.

Crisis Intervention

Supporting our most vulnerable youth with mental health counseling and connections to community resources in times of crisis.

Social Justice

Programming to develop skills, knowledge, critical thinking & compassion required for creating an equitable, engaging, and strong community.

Our Programs

Within the past 5 years, we have successfully launched a tutoring support program, a male mentoring program, and a mobile outreach program. For nearly 10 years, NIYC has implemented an innovative model of afterschool programming that integrates social-emotional learning and clinical mental health services alongside our youth programming. As one of the few youth service organizations in our area with an on site Licensed Mental Health Counselor, we are equipped to provide clinical counseling for children and teens using individual, group, and play therapy, a developmentally appropriate form of counseling for younger children.
